Paul Owen was admitted as a Solicitor in April 1981 having completed his Articles/Training with his late Father, Hugh W. Owen, in Windsor.
Paul then moved to London as he wanted to develop a career in litigation. He first joined Lewis & Dick in the Strand, a well known litigation practice, where he deepened his knowledge and experience, especially in High Court litigation. He then had an exciting opportunity to join Clifford Turner in the City (now Clifford Chance). Whilst there, he was seconded to Luxembourg for six months on the Banco Ambrosiano liquidation involving international asset recovery and working with lawyers from many foreign jurisdictions.
