Emma is a Partner specialising in family law and joined Charsley Harrison LLP in December 2017, having previous worked in London and Surrey based firms. Emma is a member of Resolution and also a Resolution trained Family (all issues) Mediator working towards accreditation.
Emma undertakes work in all aspects of family law including divorce and financial settlement following the breakdown of a marriage or relationship where the couple are not married, dealing with assets both in the UK and abroad.
Emma also acts and advises in all aspects of arrangements for children after separation including issues surrounding with whom the child/children should live/spend time with and specific issues including the international relocation (outside the UK) or internal relocation (within the UK) with the children. Emma has a particular interest in international relocation cases and has acted on a number of cases in this area, both for the parent wishing to move and the parent opposing the application. Emma has a reported decision in an international relocation case for a mother to relocate South Africa

Emma favours a practical and pragmatic approach to resolving conflict and therefore advises in out of Court negotiations and settlements but also acts for individuals in proceedings through the Court.
Emma can also be contacted in relation to Mediation both for married and unmarried couples dealing with finances or child-related issues.
Emma was admitted to the Roll in 2008, having completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School and Legal Practice Course at Inns of Court School of Law. Emma also has a Masters in Child Law.
